The Better Business Bureau has them listed a D+ company rating & there are thousands upon thousands of complaints. HOWEVER, THE MOST I'VE EVER OWED IN ANY GIVEN MONTH WAS $800, YET THEY BILLED ME OVER $26+ THAT MONTH! This company is a total scam, never sent me any emails or mailed me any paperwork re: enrollment. They are supposed to bill you for $1.29/ for every $100 you owe on your card. This "Account Assure" is supposedly a protection service plan which covers your credit card bill if you die.
The amounts AA billed me would vary every month, which is why I never caught it. They were complicit in this scam and are the AT customer rep knew all about it and gave me the Account Assure phone #. I canceled my Ann Taylor LOFT store card after 20 years of being a loyal customer. This is an outrage and I implore you all to carefully review your monthly transactions re: store credit cards, as the company is closely associated with Victoria Secret, Loft, Ann Taylor, and many others. I filed a complaint with BBB, results still pending. LOFT claims I signed up for it, but I never did. I never caught it, as I've had this store card for years and never had anything shady like this happen to me ever. Inept employees that don't care! I get to the check out (one person ringing out after noticing about 4 employees AT LEAST during my time there…) all the sudden, the first round of my clothing that I had spent tons of time trying on and asking to be placed to the side while I continued to shop, were missing! Seriously?! Someone, although a "still shopping" sign being placed on my clothes, put them back on the sales floor! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! No sorry and no one even offers to help me find all the stuff! That's crap! I'm an ALL customer and have spent a lot of $$$$ over the years (not as much as I could due to a military move overseas over the past 3 years but…) nonetheless, disappointing! Then took out my digital card available via my online cominity account and I was made to feel like an idiot! They couldn't figure out how to use it! I had to make suggestions on how to use it! They knew nothing about a QR code available via the ALL/Cominity website. Probably $800 for everything easy if not more when all was said and done. Second round of try on's and I was ready to pay. Probably an hour or more I'd been picking this stuff out and trying on, $400 or more on clothes on my first round of shopping while my poor husband agreed to sit in the car and wait for me. I shopped, tried on loved a ton of clothing that I wanted to have placed behind the counter while I continued to shop.
